According to Lewis Spearman from the Star-Courier, Saturday August 27, 2011 turned out to be a record-breaking day of a 109 degrees temperature. All shooters throughout the day including the Crosby Fair & Rodeo volunteers and the J.R.O.T.C experienced the heat. Players and volunteers were able to stay hydrated with water and cool down by standing or sitting under the trees and tents. The Cedar Bayou Blast turned out to be another great event!
